Price Guide

General Pricing of Work

It is very difficult to give estimates for video work as final prices will depend on so many different factors including:-

  • do you have a firm idea of what you want?
  • do you have a script or storyboard?
  • will you be shooting it yourself on your phone or a camera?
  • how long it takes to shoot?
  • how complex do you want your video (fast pace videos often take longer to edit)?
  • how many different formats you require (i.e. YouTube, TikTok, X, website)?
  • do you need voice over?
  • do you need a make-up artist?
  • do you need a physical copy (DVD, Blue-Ray, stick drive, etc.?
  • do you need a licence to use stock footage, sound effects and music?
The following is a general guide for the more common types of work that we do.

2D Titles and Intros

2D titles and intros can take many forms.  Everything from a company logo or name sliding onto a blank screen right through to a title sequence like the one shown on the home page combining video and special effects.  Prices typically start at £50 up to £250 for the example shown.

3D Titles and Intros

3D titles and logos can be used to great effect on videos and websites. Something like a spinning logo overlays that you can use on your own videos are much easier to produce than a 15 second full video title sequence complete with sound effects and music. The starting price is about £100 and goes up from there depending on complexity. If you have an idea in mind, why not come and talk to us.

Video Shoots for Adverts

This is for work done in our studio and includes product adverts, talking head videos, instructional videos and anything along those lines.

We price studio time at £30 per hour with a minimum charge of £60 (2 hours).  This is for shooting and recording un-edited footage.  Editing is always required and you can either do this yourself or we can do it for you.  Editing will be required to join the individual shots together, add transitions, titles, sub-titles, music and credits if required.

Video Editing

Post production is one of the most time consuming and computer intensive part of the video making process.  Simple editing for a 60 second video can take as little as an hour up to whole day for something with a lot of visual effects (this is why blockbuster films can spend a year or two in post production).

We charge £25 per hour for video editing.  Special effects are charged at the same hourly rate but obviously takes a lot longer than slicing and editing footage.

Memorial Videos

Our standard memorial video contains up to 70 photos or short video clips which you can supply as digital files or printed copies for the photographs.  These will be edited together as a slide show lasting about 15 to 20 minutes.  Our standard price for this is £120.

VHS to Digital Conversion

We are still working on this process and we will publish prices once we have sorted out the procedures and kinks.

Interesting Fact

When the first Jurassic Park film was made, the computers in the 'control centre/laboratory' of the film belonged to the company carrying out the CGI work. Every frame took 10 hours to render using these machines (and there were probably 24 frames for every second of film). We can now render the same frame in under a second!
